ACADIEN BUS LINE HAS NO TIME FOR THE DIGBY FERRY!!! THAT'S FOR SURE!!!

I ran half a block to take this picture today.

Acadien Bus line is the major reason the Digby Ferry is closing down.

Who the heck wants to wait 3 to 4 hours for a ferry???

Then again, what do you expect from a company who's headquarters is from Quebec???

Acadia

CHarles, get real. Just because a poster says something doesn't mean its true. It's a ferry, that means it takes cars. The bus is only one tiny source of revenue. The three hour wait may be to increase tourism so that people will spend some money. We don't know, but we certainly don't know that the bus line is "the main reason" the ferry is closing down (maybe).

Nobody put a gun to Irvings head telling them to sell, without a Quebec company, maybe there would be no bus service at all!

Bus has always been there. What that has to do with ferry. Ferry was a tourist draw too. Two are not related, bus and ferry, as far ferry's demise is concerned.

I was told that the connection to digby is not on time....

I'm taking about people taking the bus to the ferry.

I was told that have to wait 3 hours for the next ferry.

A tourist from Scotland told me this a few weeks ago.

If I'm wrong? Well, I'm wrong!!!!

Come from out west,by the fine line of greyhound and their good curtious drivers, wait 10 hours for the nobodies to go east, then stop at every booze place along the way,so the drunk driver gets his commission, for bringing traffic, cause it grease the palm country, quebec.Never again!!!

OK, that's understandable, and that's actually very interesting. If the above poster wouldn't mind putting a name to his post, even just a fake one, and giving more details then that's something that would be quite interesting to hear about. As long winded as they like.

I'd be interested to know about the different personalities of the drivers, as the above says, greyhound were quite courteous. I've heard Charles make the points before about Quebecers, and I'm really starting to think he's onto something. With no competition they can run it any way they like.

The train is similar, you get into Montreal at about 3AM and have to wait five hours for the train to Toronto. These Atlantica guys might be onto something trying to change the transportation infrastructure to go through the states instead of Quebec.
