Absolutely. It is a much bigger fiasco than any other in the history of NB. Compared to this even Sponsorship debacle is minuscule- $200M at national level as opposed to $2.2 billion (with a B) for a small province like ours. For this foul up by Bernard Lord we will pay for many generations to come.

They complain when people are having a hard time to make ends meet and they ask for help.
Why not make Premier Lord accountable for his actions over the last eight years; no excuses please for a man who has full knowledge of his actions. He has legal training but for some reason never used it. Give him time to reflect on how he has treated the people of NB and let him know at the POLLS, September 18th, no excuses to not vote.
You know that is our only voice because they have not listened in the eight years and nothing will change under his command. Yes all remember that he stated and still thinks we all can afford to pay more. Yet the Billionaires need a tax break for 25 years; something is wrong when we have to spend our dollars ( we can't afford ) bit those who can afford to use their old money want a tax break. They are not done asking they have a deal in the works for refining at Red Head. This will never end when Premier change the laws to allow the Billionaires a break but forget the average people who struggle each day.
I'll agree it's a waste of taxpayer money, however unlike the sponsorship scandal no political parties or people got rich. This was a deal gone bad due to external geo-political ciscumstances. Not brown paper bags filled with cash.
Nonetheless, someone was sleeping at the switch and that someone is Bernard Lord. Negligence does cause disasters and people who are negligent must pay the piper.

I am basing my vote on how Bernie treated anyone and everyone who felt they had a reason to strike - legislate them back to work and use scare tactics. He is not a good leader and does not have the stamina to stand up to the big boys - I vote for Danny Williams - bring on the oil companies (oh well, since he's in NL I'll have to make another choice).
The problem with the way we vote is that people tend to vote for the individual in their area versus the party in genral. I know my riding has a very popular individual running for the PC party. He grew up in the area and is know by most. Because he is a nice guys, I know people who are voting for him but say they dislike the politics of the Lord government. This is often the case that not politics but popularity sometimes wins elections.
