There was a investigation of the way the Police handle this protest. I wonder if the Saint John Police Force will also be investigated?

A Fredericton police officer has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a protester during a demonstration in front of city hall in May and will remain on active duty until his trial.
Cpl. Dwight Doyle was charged with assault after an independent investigation into the complaint. His lawyer entered the plea on his behalf in provincial court in Fredericton Tuesday morning. A trial date has been set for March 13.
The 13-year veteran of the Fredericton Police Force was charged in connection with a protest designed to raise awareness about the plight of refugees. Four people were arrested at the event and of those, Asaf Rashid said he was the only one who was thrown to the ground.
Rashid alleges the officer also asked him for information on where he was born and filed a complaint with the Fredericton Police Force, claiming discrimination on the basis of race.
Fredericton police Chief Barry McKnight asked the Saint John police force to conduct an independent investigation into the complaint. That resulted in an assault charge against the officer.

Gee, a police officer charged with assault on active duty. That should increase people's respect for police.
