Why were you there? This was a protest by university students about high tuition. You are not a student, you don't go to university.

You were just there hopping that Dan Bussieres was going to call the police and get you arrested so that you could get all the attention. And this attention would take away from a good cause like high university tuition.

Man you are selfish in trying to get the attention over cash strapped students.

Like alot of people have said before on this blog site you are just selfish, rude and ignorant.

He was shaking in his $500 leather-made boots, trust me. He knew that if he would have touched you, he would have had an angry mob to out-run -- and that simply wasn't happening.

This is exactly why he whispered when he talked to you.

To the recent university graduate:

I'll let him answer for himself, but I wanted to add that I am glad that Charles was there. Most of the time independent media is the only media you can trust to get the proper message out.

Yes, even CBC seems to ignore the issues.

Charles is an independent media person -- he serves the public, and that is exactly what he was doing today.

Charles, I am very disappointed in you right now. I was very excited at first that you took an interest in our action today because it would be good coverage and would get the message out there. No one is going to get the message if the headline is just about you and stupid dan bussieres. Why is the fact that he spoke to you the highlight of the story? Student debt is the topic Charles, student DEBT. I think you are inDEBTed to us and you should probably write a story this evening on the subject, not on a little tiff you've got goign on with that penguin suit. Please Charles remember it is our struggle and you must respect that in your write-up.

My hobby is to take pictures and let the readers educate the public on the issue.

It would be the same as the David Suzuki blog.

The students can voice their concerns in this blog if they wish.

As for me taking the attention from the protesters with Dan Bussieres?

Sorry....it was something like when I was arrested in Saint John. I was standing in the back doing my job as a blogger and Dan ignored the protesters and came after me.

Stay tuned!!!

Credible journalists do not focus on themselves when writing a report.

There is more than one story there. Charles, as you were.

I would argue that Charles giving attention to an ignored issue is great as one of the posters mentioned, except this one was covered by almost all of the mainstream media.

Global, Rogers, CBC, radio (both pro and campus), print... They were all there and very visible covering this story.

I agree, this is one of those times where you should have just stayed back and left the personal vendettas for another day.

People don't seem to understand..it's Charles blog. Of course the focus is on him. Duh! When he starts getting a salary and not poverty wages then people can get preachy.

As mentioned above, other media covered the story, so there's no reason to get at Charles for not covering it yet again.

As for student debt, as mentioned Charles wasn't and isn't a student so its doubtful he knows anything about it. However, some more details about what actually happened would have been nice. In Saint John you started the story from first thing in the morning and described what happened. The same would have been nice at the Suzuki meeting, as well as this protest.

How about keeping the criticism s civil, how often do you respond when people talk to you like that.

If you are looking for an objective report, then I am not sure why are you reading blogs. This personal website belongs to Charles and it is his forum in which he may voice his own personal opinion and express his own personal point of view. If you are not finding the kind of reporting here that you want to see, perhaps you should pick up a newspaper . .or start your own blog.

Like a moth to a flame, he's addicted to protests. Someone could hold a protest about ANYTHING and if Charles heard about it, in a split second, he'd be there to try to get more attention.

One week he calls himself a reporter, the next week he calls himself a blogger, then he calls himself a photographer. I'd have to say photographer is the correct label since reporters and bloggers actually write about the stories, not just post a few hundred photos about every event.

Guys, stop flaming him.
He's a blogger and records anything of significance, and at the time it was that he met Dan Bussieres. That guy didn't have anything to say to us protesters anyway, he wasn't even who we were looking for.
Besides, you all should have known he would post more than just this. He was there until the very end of the protest, when there were only about six students still there.
And guys, if you really dislike Charles that much, why don't you find a different blog to read?

I thought this was a free country and a person could do what they wanted. Free speach, I thought that was what your about. Oh ya just what you wanted to say...again Charles all about you.

There was plenty of media coverage on other sites today about the student protest, but Charles' blog is always about the stories behind the stories. The stuff that CBC and the Daily Gleaner WON'T report because they are too politically correct.

So suck it up and be glad that there is a spot for this information to be seen.

free speech seems to only apply to himself only, don't you know

Dan Bussieres is a New Brunswicker. Charles just doesnt like where he was born, that's all...
