I admire those citizens who stood in the cold yesterday! It was very cold!

What's your view on this issue?

Looks like those photos were taken from the grounds of the legislature. Aren't you banned from the place?

Why not license them? The biggest problem with ATV's is the same as snowmobiles and cars-and that's booze. This is just going to turn more people into criminals as most of the rural people whose kids use ATV's will continue to do so. You can go to canadian tire and buy little ATV's and motorbikes for kids as young as three.

I was right there and there were security all over the place.

I was ready to be arrested but it never happen.

I didn't feel to write a long winded blog last night but STAY TUNED!!!!

The saga of the huge war of the public relation nightmare with the Quebec Security Staff could come to an end?

Who knows?

Courses are as unenforceable as the law is. Are New Brunswickers ready to pay millions for new police officers to drive around looking for kids on ATV's?

Far more kids die from other means. In reality you can only protect people so much. A child takes as much of a risk getting on a horse or a bicyle or motorbike.

At least this is a compromise, but why are these people protesting if the kids are allowed on ATV's?

There are more adults being killed on ATVs than children, so I don't know what the hype is about.

I grew up snowmobiling and on ATVs. I learned lots of valuable lessons about wildlife, scenery, and peacefulness.

Did I get hurt? Sure, I twisted my ankle once when the ski-doo slid on the ice. But I got injured much worse when I fell down the stairs and broke my arms and a coupleo f ribs. What's next ... are they going to ban children from going down the stairs? Or are they going to make them wear helmets 24/7?

my son is 6 years old and he has a small dirt bike and all the proper gear with good supervision and loves his bike and has had a few small scrapes from his dirt bike but alot worse from his pedal bike. Should we ban those to why not just keep them in the house all the time and make them fat but safe as long as they don't go near stairs.

One question: how come those kids weren't in school? I didn't hear anything about school being cancelled.

Here is the way I see it. You must take a course, pay insurance, license it and if you are under 16 you must drive with an adult size ATV. Even if you have one child size ATV, you still need supervision.

Quality of life for everyone. Who cares if your child or my child can ride an ATV; who will pay for a life lost or for someone who is diabled for the rest of their life?

But also this should apply to all motor operated bikes or vehicles.

There are courses for bicycles too and that is something to be taken serious. People have no respect for people crossing in crosswalks too.

Still my final word is that some things need to be manatory; we don't need kids driving and risking theirs or others lives. Sixteen is just an age to start at but all should be taken seriously courses, licensing and insurance.

Younger children should not be allowed on our streets or roads.

Times have changed and our roads and streets are alot different from the horse and buggy days.

Where the parents of some of these children when they hit my child or one of my love ones?

one question is how can a kid stay fit riding a motorized vehicle anyways, stay in the house and get fat, ok. obviously riding a four wheeler is more inportant than school too.

the government is doing what is right! a babysitter probably would cost as much as gas for one of those things too.
