DOES THIS REALLY BELONG ON THE FRONT PAGE IN THE THE IRVING'S PAPER???

Not really. While it is an important issue because it speaks volumnes about Fredericton's inability to change, accept growth and promote success, it is not as half as important to the City as the arbitrary decision to move a Middle School, or the unfathomable reluctance to build an Olympic sized rink for the future, or the hesitation to consider a second bridge or a pedway... and it pales in comparrison to to issues surrounding the re-development of the old train station. All things more important to the City, that for some reason the City's only news paper refuses to discuss, and refuses to provide comparible space on the editorial and opinions page for any dissenting opinion other that its own editorial board.

That's Irvings idea of 'big news', anything that happens that doesn't affect the status quo. Protests for idiotic things will always get front page coverage.
