I sit here with my keyboard reflecting of today’s events.
I learned that Stephen Harper would be in Fredericton.
I quickly made my contacts and found out where the Prime Minster of Canada would be located.
It was on College Hill Road. I couldn’t find a ride so I began the long walk over the hill. My God? It’s a big hill and I soon found out that I’m not as young as I used to be.
Once in the area, I wasn’t certain exactly certain of the location.
I noticed some barricades from far away with security personel around.
This must be the area!!!
Once there, I noticed Tim Porter < Premier’s office staff > chatting with a R.C.M.P. officer.
I chatted with a woman who was working in the building and the issue of Ritalin came up?
Of course, I’m the one who always tell people that I was the guy who protested in a tent in front of the Legislature.
This is where I get my real stories.
I must admit that this one was a little hard to believe because she told me that the Doctor suggested to her child- 9 months old child should be on Ritalin?
Yes, 9 MONTHS!!!!
I found it hard to believe that young.
At the end, she told me that she was proud of herself because it’s up to the parents to say - No!!!
The next thing that I knew? I was told to stand behind the barricades.
The cop was the top gun and he must have got his orders from someone. Now? I wonder who would that be?
I believe it was a joke so I never debated the issue.
I was approached by three different officers asking me questions.
On two different occasions, they asked me to explain to them what was a Blogger????
I told them that maybe it was the wrong example to use but lets say that someone tries to do harm to the Prime Minister?
An individual will have to wait till the Nightly news or the Irving newspapers the next morning.
A blogger would quickly run to a computer and write up the story with an opinion.
I noticed ¾ of the people walking in were P.C.’s!!!
The security was very tight and I was agitating everyone walking in < especially the Irving media. >
I shouted – Hey? How come you guys can go in there and I can’t!???
They pointed at their pass.
I shouted back – You mean an Irving pass???
My camera is in bad shape and my pictures never took!
I had another camera in tow but it was someone else little toy! I spent more time trying to figure out if the pictures took!
It’s wasn’t an easy task!!!
Even the Mayor showed up. 
My god? The Chairperson Kenneth Maybee of the New Brunswick Lung Association was also there. 
I was surprised to see one Liberal in the crowd. Kelly Lamrock made a stopover at the event.
Many seem to be surprise that I was ordered behind a barricade but the sad part of this story is that I was the only one.
I was approached by an undercover R.C.M.P. telling me that I will follow his commands.
His name was Paul and he looks like a nice guy.
He soon found out that it would be one heck of a job to accomplish because he had to listen to me for 45 minutes.
I needed to use the washrooms but fat chance of the security staff to let me go inside.
I took many pictures while he was standing right beside me.
Suddenly, I noticed the news media filming with their cameras on the highway but I never paid close attention because I was still trying to figure out the darn camera.
The individual who owns it did tell me that she had problems with it in the pass.
While fooling around with the camera, the cop asked me a question and grabbed my attention.
The next I knew Stephen Harper was inside the building in the crowd and the cops quickly closed the fence.
I asked the guy - Where did he come from?
The cop assured me that he took a back door but I learned later on that he passed right by me and I got distracted.
All I could hear was Bernard Lord voice praising the Prime Minister. 
I told the cop that it’s driving me nuts but after the Provincial election? We will no longer hear Bernard Lord voice.
I mentioned that I should go home because I couldn’t see anything.
The police officer quickly offered me a ride. I was tired so I took his offer.
The other cop give the other a thumbs up and away we went.
The cop dropped me off at the Beaverbrook Hotel and he was on his way.
So exactly what happen today anyway?
Why wasn’t I allowed in the building?
Did Bernard Lord staff tell the security personal that I shouldn’t be allowed near the Prime Minister?
Why was I single out? Is this the Prime Minister new style?
What a big different that 10 months makes when I chatted freely with Stephen Harper of the issue of Methadone Clinics in New Brunswick but not this time.
Why did I allow this to happen? Why didn’t I voice my concerns to the Prime Minister staff?
Very good questions?
I just followed the flow and took everything in but one thing is assured?
This will not happen again!
This is the first time in my life that I was ever denied to a political event and I strongly believe it was the making of the staff from Bernard Lord office.
We know that the staff from Bernard Lord denied Tim Smith to go inside their building during a nomination meeting in Saint John Harbour.
This is one reason that we have to vote Bernard Lord from office.
We know that he does not have good public relation skill with the public but now the staff is giving Stephen Harper advices?
The Prime Minister office would be warn not to take advice from this group of people!
I will sent out a complain to his office and lets see if the Prime Minister answers back?

WASHINGTON - The narcolepsy drug modafinil should not be approved as a treatment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children until more is learned about a possible link to a serious skin disease, federal advisers said Thursday.
A Food and Drug Administration advisory committee voted 12-1 against recommending modafinil as safe for children with ADHD. Earlier Thursday, the psychopharmacologic drugs panel agreed unanimously that the modafinil works in treating ADHD.
The FDA is not required to follow the recommendations of its advisory committees but usually does.
The committee recommended that Cephalon Inc. undertake a 3,000-patient trial to determine what risk modafinil may pose for Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. Drug reactions cause nearly all cases of the sometimes fatal skin disease, which can produce widespread blistering and rashes, according to The Merck Manual.
The FDA's drug chief, Dr. Robert Temple, said one out of roughly 900 children involved in earlier studies of the drug developed the disease.
Temple and Cephalon spokeswoman Jenifer Antonacci said the agency and company would discuss the committee's recommendation. The Frazer, Pa.-based company does not see a "clear link" between its drug and the skin disease, Antonacci said.
In December 1998, the FDA originally approved modafinil, under the brand name Provigil, to treat adults with sleepiness associated with narcolepsy. The company has proposed calling a higher-dose version of the pill Sparlon when used to treat ADHD.
Other drugs already approved by the FDA for ADHD include Ritalin, Strattera and Adderall.
A different advisory committee recommended on Wednesday that the FDA add warnings to the labels of those and other ADHD drugs on the market alerting doctors and parents to the possible risk of hallucinations in the more than 3 million children receiving the popular medications.
Narcolepsy is marked by recurring episodes of daytime sleep, lasting from a few seconds to an hour. The disease can be merely inconvenient to some people, but disabling and dangerous to others who may fall asleep while driving or operating machinery.

With the issue of Ritalin and the drugging and the killings of our children on the front page in the media these last few days.
I know one P.C. MLA who’s a witness that this emotional issue must be confronted.
I’m surprised that I never wrote or spoke about this issue in the past.
Once I found out that I have ADHD in the late 90s.
I quickly wrote a guest column for the Reader in the Telegraph Irving Journal.
My picture was on the front page on a Saturday and I had many parents calling me with their sad stories.
Months later, I organized a little meeting at the Saint John Library.
There must have been 25 people who showed up with their concerns.
I invited all MLA’s to the gathering but only one showed up.
That MLA was P.C. MLA Milt Sherwood from Grand Bay!
Once again, he heard all the sad stories and he was very surprised by the way their kids were treated in the school system.
I’ll never forget the look on his face.
He looked shock!!!
He said - I have never heard of Ritalin or ADHD until tonight!!! THIS IS TERRIBLE!!!!
I presume that once he would get to the Capital? He would share his experience with Bernard Lord but maybe he did? Maybe he didn’t!!!
I walked around with 20 badges from candidates from different parties who would support my fight.
Bernard Lord told me that he’ll do a study if he’s elected Premier?
He was elected Premier and he totally ignored the issue of the drugging of our children.
This is the reason that Bernard Lord will continue to kill and drug our children!
He refuses to address the issue and this will be his downfall during the next Provincial election!
My God? Even Bernard Richard told the Senate and the media there was a major problem with Ritalin in New Brunswick!
Shawn Graham will do a study on this issue. If he doesn’t? Well, it will be déjà vu all over again!!!

YES, THE BUREAUCRATS IN FREDERICTON MIGHT BE SNOBS BUT THEY DO HAVE A HEART!!!
Yes, it might be the Capital of New Brunswick and Fredericton is very well known for it’s snobby citizens but the good side came out of the wood work this afternoon.
While walking downtown, I noticed my old disable friend sitting down panhandling for money. 
She didn’t know I was in the area. I walked by her and grabbed her little can. 
While walking away from her?
I noticed many drivers were staring at me from their vehicles.
A couple of people quickly ran from the Bank asking the woman if everything was ok? 
She told everyone that I was a big help to her.
I was told afterwards that many confronted her when I left the area.
I’m very surprised with the prescription drug problem in this City that no one tried to steal her little can?
Hey? Even the addicted have a heart.
But not all of them!!!
Remember over one year ago when someone stole the poppy money from this Irving gas station? 
Yes, there might be a lot of snobby citizens walking by the less fortunate but a few of them are watching over them very closely.
I believe this is a good thing!!!

Harper coming to province on spending spree Last updated Mar 23 2006 09:18 AM AST CBC News Prime Minister Stephen Harper is expected to be in New Brunswick Friday to announce funding for several projects, including the long-awaited cleanup of the Saint John harbour. Harper's press secretary told a reporter that "he's coming to keep some promises he talked about during the election." Premier Bernard Lord was also dropping hints on Wednesday in a speech to Saint John business people."I want [the province] to have the biggest reduction in air and water pollution in Canada," he said. "And I know mayor [Norm MacFarlane], you have an idea how we can do some of that. We'll be back in just a few days to make a big announcement on that." The federal government is expected to contribute up to half of the total cost of $88 million. Harper is expected to announce funding for Moncton, too. The city will get help building a new stadium for the 2008 world junior athletics championships.During a speech in Moncton Wednesday, Lord said there will be "good news" on the stadium front. Moncton Mayor Lorne Mitton said the city couldn't bid on the games unless it had the stadium money."We would be ill-advised to even make a proposal to the international association if we did not have a commitment from the two other levels of government" he said. The stadium would be located at l'Universite de Moncton.Harper is also expected to announce federal funding for a $110-million highway bypass in Fredericton.

ADHD panel rejects tough drug warnings

An advisory panel to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommended yesterday that Ritalin and other drugs to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder not carry so-called "black box" warnings about cardiovascular and psychiatric risks.
With that decision, the Pediatric Advisory Committee broke with another FDA advisory panel that recommended ADHD drugs carry black-box warnings, which are the strongest.
"This meeting was about children, not adults. The efficacy of ADHD drugs in children is quite strong," said Dr. Robert Nelson, chairman of the pediatric committee, in explaining its disagreement with a recommendation of the Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory Committee.
Rather than a black-box warning, Dr. Nelson and others who met with the press after the committee's daylong session said labels for ADHD therapies should be written so people can understand them. There needs to be improved communication, Dr. Nelson said.
"I wouldn't use the word tougher, but clearer," he said of the changes the panel seeks.
ADHD drugs include Novartis AG's Ritalin, the oldest such treatment; Shire Pharmaceutical Group PLC's Adderall XR; Johnson & Johnson's Concerta and Eli Lilly & Co.'s Strattera.
The panel that convened yesterday considered whether warning labels on ADHD drugs need to be strengthened and, if so, how. They also evaluated whether the drugs posed cardiovascular risks, as the drug safety panel found last month, as well as psychiatric and suicide risks.
In February, the drug safety committee voted 8-7 to require a black-box warning on ADHD drugs because of concerns that the medications may increase the risks of heart attack, stroke and sudden death.
That panel acted after learning that, from 1999 to 2003, 25 persons died suddenly while taking such drugs and that 54 experienced serious cardiovascular disorder (CVD) during that period while on ADHD medicines.
ADHD drugs may pose greater risks of CVD-related illness and death to adults than to children, that committee said, given that CVD primarily affects older people. However, children constitute the largest population taking ADHD medicines, and 19 of the 25 sudden deaths reported occurred among minors.
That panel's pitch for black-box warnings came as a surprise to many, because it was supposed to review plans for more safety studies. The action alarmed some child psychiatrists, who said they were called by parents afterward and told that they planned to discard ADHD medicines their children used.
Most ADHD drugs are stimulants and are regulated like narcotics. At least one commonly used ADHD drug -- Adderall XR -- carries a warning that misuse of the amphetamine-like drug can lead to sudden death and heart damage. Another drug, Strattera, is not classified as a stimulant and would not require a black-box warning.
Psychiatrists said leaving ADHD untreated could rival any medical risks and noted that problems have been rare.
The FDA is not required to accept the recommendations of advisory panels, but it often does so. In this case, the agency wanted the pediatric panel to weigh in before it decided whether new warnings on ADHD treatments were necessary.
Children remain the largest population taking ADHD drugs to treat problems such as inattention, lack of focus, impulsivity and hyperactivity. But their share is starting to shrink, as it is increasingly recognized that ADHD is a "lifelong disorder," affecting children and adults alike, said Brian Goodman, spokesman for the organization Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
The FDA estimates that 2.5 million children and 1.5 million adults take medication for ADHD.
"Right now, there seems to be an overconcentration on overmedication" with ADHD drugs and inadequate concern about underdiagnosis of ADHD, Mr. Goodman said.

SAINT JOHN POLICE FORCE SHOULD BE WATCHING DRUG DEALERS AND NOT PANHANDLERS!!!
I took this picture last week in the uptown are of a female panhandler.
The drug dealers are sriving around the City all day long to supply the junkies with their fix.
The police should be watching these people. Just follow the prostitutes on the streets and you'll locate the drug dealers!

Panhandler gets 10 days in jail for assaulting cops

Michael Francis Atwell, 42, of Sewell Street was sentenced Tuesday to 10 days in provincial jail after he pleaded guilty in provincial court in Saint John to two charges of assaulting police.
Crown prosecutor John Henheffer said police spotted Mr. Atwell panhandling in front of Pictures Plus on King Street in uptown Saint John on March 19.
Police knew Mr. Atwell from previous panhandling incidents and as they were watching him, he got into a verbal fight with a passerby.
The passerby left before the fight could escalate and one of the officers went into liquor store on King Street to talk him about the incident.
As the man was talking to the officer he said he didn't want to give a statement and that it didn't look like he had to, as Mr. Atwell had just started into a confrontation with other police officers outside the store.
When the first officer went outside, Mr. Atwell was cursing at the police and the confrontation escalated when Mr. Atwell refused to stop panhandling. As police attempted to take him into custody, he wrestled with them on the ground, eventually kicking two officers.
In addition to his time in jail, Mr. Atwell was placed on one year of probation with conditions not to be in an area bordered by Princess, Union, Sydney and Water streets and to comply with the city's panhandling bylaw.
WILL J.K. IRVING GET HIS WISH TODAY???
I understand that's he's only one of the members but I still cannot understand his reasoning in all this???
The racist company of Gulf Operators are all ready to move in and destroy the building.

South House decision expected today
Former board member says demolition delayed at least until summer

The fate of Rothesay Netherwood School's South House was not known Wednesday night as the school's board of governors decided to keep mum following a meeting that lasted more than two hours.
Headmaster Paul Kitchen said everybody present at the meeting agreed not to say anything until noon today when a statement would be issued.
Kelly Patterson, a former board member who now co-chairs the building's restoration committee, said she has learned that the board has decided not to tear down the building before the summer and, in the intervening period, it has left the door open to look at other proposals.
"From our perspective, this is great news," she said. "Demolition is a permanent thing. All possibilities need to be explored before taking such a drastic action "... We are confident that there is a solution."
The committee has pledged to raise $900,000 for the restoration and continued maintenance of the building if the school agrees to preserve the 150-year-old Gothic-style structure.
The fight to save the building has been going on since Oct. 2002 when the school disclosed its intention to do away with the building.
"We are thrilled they are willing to work with us to find a solution," she said. "We will raise whatever funds are needed to assist them financially."
Before the meeting started at 5 p.m., Mr. Kitchen said there are 37 board members and of them "three or four members (from whom) we have not heard" on the issue. He did not say how many members actually attended the meeting.
About 15 minutes before the meeting ended at 7:15 p.m. Mr. Kitchen came out to make a brief call to the school's lawyer, Rod Gillis. The meeting was held at Mr. Gillis' office and he was waiting in the foyer while the board deliberated and left before the meeting was over.
The decision to hold the board's meeting followed a hearing during the two separate injunctions filed one by the restoration committee and the other by a current and a former member of the board governors. The latter application contended that the executive committee did not have the authority to demolish South House and that the issue must be decided by the board.
During the hearing Mr. Gillis told Justice Lucie LaVigne of the Court of Queen's Bench that the school has decided to call a meeting of the board before the demolition takes place.
After consulting with the two sides the judge adjourned the hearing and placed the injunction until April 4.
Mr. Gillis has said the school has no further practical use for the building. South House is the only original building left on the historic campus. Other than housing its sprinkler system, it has not been used by the school since June 2005, he said.

Many private citizens wouldn’t know this Acadian MLA so I would described Denis.
I would say – He has the biggest hand of all the MLA’s in Fredericton. 
Once Shawn Graham is elected Premier?
Myself and Denis would stand side by side in front of the Centennial Building in the Capital.
Once Shawn comes out of the building and say – Ritalin? I don’t know what your talking about Charles? < Same as Bernard Lord did in 1999! > 
Well? I would punch the Premier with my right hand and Denis would follow with a left on the left hand side. 
With Denis large hand? I don’t believe that I will need to punch the Premier….lol….
And that would be the end of that!!!...lol

This is New Brunswick so therefore we don’t use violence in this Province to get our message across but how much longer this peaceful trend will continue?
