Ok....I’m announcing one change for this blog. It seems that every instance I blogged a story. There’s a coward reader who’s always leaving a nasty comment.
I’ll be honest? I don’t mind but they are getting on many readers nerves.
From now on? You’ll have to use a user name. It’s still anonymous but at least we’ll have a name to reply to.
You know names like Spinks or Maurice the homeless guy?
So? Don’t bother waiting a comment as anonymous because I’ll just reject it.
I have no time or use for cowards who leave comments without a use name.

So you're finally owning up to censoring your comments, eh? Tired of the same old people saying the same things over and over, hmm? Much like maybe a Newspaper would get tired of hundreds of negative letters from the same person?

Well I think that's just fantastic. I've always put my real name on my comments for all to see.
Where else can we go and have our intelligence insulted or read such interesting articles such as "God's Minute"?
You were asking me yesterday why I keep coming back, and I told you I actually like it here.

What difference does it make if it is anonymous or not. You are controlling what comments are posted. There goes your freedom of speech business. You do not practice what you preach and your words never match your actions.
You do not give damn to readers who pointed out that you posted enough of those pictures of yourself and lay off that because it so amateurish and odd. You do not care about your readers saying there is no need for doggie pictures or father Brien or God’s minutes and suddenly you care about your readers being anonymous when making comments. Make up your mind whether you care about your readers or not.
Dad where have you been? LOL. All in all a good move Charles. There's probably still a good case for having people set up a blogger account but at least there's a name to respond to.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with this post.
I do however agree with the above comment which states that you control the comments anyhow.
So I think it is in good faith that you at least leave annon there.
There are times I like to leave a short annon depending on the subject and or depth of such posts.
Other than those few I will put my name behind where I stand on other posts.
If this is going to be the norm from here on in then I might as well drop this site from my address book as like one comment says above your going a little to far toward bias on the issues of the day.
I believe blogs are and always will be a new very open forum to air your views based on the issues of the day not 8-10 hours later to see if your comment even got put in where it can be debated.
Or as we see consistantly on this blog, The post ends up soooo far down the page most never get to be debated anyway.
Honestly you are a buffoon. You think you are very important. You should be thankful that some readers come here read your baloney and sometimes leave excellent comments. I come here to read comments and not your bull at all. It so happens that most all good comments are anonymous. Now you want to end that too. Grow up.

It lasted for over one year but the idiots were getting too bad and we can't have that in here.
It's bad enough that we have one idiot who's bloggling different issues every day that we don't need more idiots with their bad comments.

I don't mind the comments being monitored, but it just takes too long for you to print them.
Sheesh folks, it takes one extra step. If you have time to type a comment, you have time to type in some type of name. It's just not that complicated. Granted there is some accountability to the comments now but it's still basically anonymous.
Again kudos to Charles for allowing comments here at all. Charles pretty much never agrees with me but he still allows my comments to be posted as he does all of yours, even the ones which insult him. Anyone who doesn't like whatever rules Charles places on HIS BLOG should move along and start their own blog, IMHO.

I don't know Charles, there are still some pretty rude people here. I don't think a lot can be done about them except remove them. You still have some good readers here and some very good comments. Keep up the great work. I really enjoy this site along with many others.

There is a huge responsability and to make light of comments that are made is not called for.
People mouthing off now would the ones who would be complaining later if something that wasn't acceptable was printed. If you want to say things that you don't want censored start your own blog site. Keep up the Blog; you have to do what you can to keep this going. The cowards are the ones who keep insulting time after time.

I have been coming to this blog for sometime now, and have found many of the topics posted here to be interesting reading. I have also heard a lot of inflamatory crap being spewed from people who are supposed to be cilivilized and reasonable adults. This is Charles's blog and if he feels to Post God's Minute or whatever, then he should be able to do so. At least give him the same respect and conduct yourselves the same way that you would want to be given. This is a forum to comment on the issues that are posted here not to denigrate the person's character.

Leblanc complains to the whole world that Irvings are not operating the way he wants, H.R. Commission did not do things according to his wishes, so-called Quebec security works against him, Rogers do not want to talk to him anymore, his previous landlord stunk and so did the building manager on and on. If he wants others to do things his way or what pleases him then he should do the same and respect readers wishes. It is a lousy excuse that it is his blog. Irvings can say the same thing that it is their business and they will fire whosoever they wish to and landlord can say it is his building and he can kick anyone he so wishes. Unfortunately the world does not work that way and you have to respect others’ wishes and not offend them. Many feel offended with lot of his crap. Religion is one of those topics.
If you don't like the Blog stop reading it and go to the Irving and get a job to proof read their stuff. They would get rid of you quick. Charles good job and 4:37 get a life. Charles is serving a purpose what are you doing.
Gotta agree with 4:37. He/she is right that people have been offended by Jesus Christ for about 2000 years. Aftre all the Bible is a pretty preachy book, all those rules and talk of Hell, etc. A lot of wisdom in that Book too. Imagine if the world did nothing in that book but obey the Ten Commandments. It would be a different place, wouldn't it. Keep God's Minute coming, Charles. :)
