Thanks for the great pictures of our "Bridging the Gap" event. Engineers Without Borders at UNB has been running this event at the Market at least 3 times a year for the past couple of years. We're typically looking for small donations from the public to place a plank on the bridge with a UN fact printed on it that shows the discrepancy between life in North America and the majority of the rest of the world. We use donated money to help send 2 members from our chapter overseas during the following summer (that's what we were using the money for today)...Other times we have used the money to send our members to conferences. Either way, it's a great way to engage with the public and to open eyes to real-life issues for many people on this planet. Thanks for taking the time to hang out with us today and to learn about what EWB-UNB is about!
