While I suppose that might be the case wouldn't it be even more plausible that they might be looking for...oh, I don't know..maybe some malcontent trying to sneak onto the legislative grounds? After all while some might not particularly like the good people of Quebec it's safe to say none of them have yet been banned from legislature property. It only stands to reason then that in all likelihood if they were indeed searching it would be for someone attempting to break the law. Wouldn't that make more sense?
