I do live in Fredericton. And I take great offence at your statement. Some of my family members are government civil servants that wear suits to work and they don't run around with their nose in the air. You are very ignorant and rude.
Someday someone will confront you on the street about your comments.
Hey it's 9:48am here. I live in the Capital also. Man you are rude writting comments like that back to me.
What is your problem? I was just saying that you should not assume things by the way people dress or act. That is the same as being racist or a biggot.
Holly cow, I now understand why you are banned from the legislature and keep it up you will be banned from other places too.
I can't beleive that people support you when you stereotype people like that. And you are just plain rude and Ignorant. Reading comments like the one above from you shows me alot about your caracter and that explains alot about why you can't find work and are banned from places.
Why don't you guys go back and reread what the blog actually says: "These bureaucrats are tough". So the worst insult that Charles offers is to say that people are bureaucrats. If you have people in your family and friends who are bureaucrats why would you take offense to that?
Charles got nasty after that, that's what happens when you call a scotsman/acadian 'ignorant'. But you should admit there is nothing insulting in that blog.
After that Charles does get nasty, and once again I'd suggest simply ignoring the comments altogether, they are full of people who can often best be described with the same terms they throw at Charles.
If you aren't poor then you've had far different dealings with bureaucrats. If you are poor then there is good reason to dislike bureacrats. And like everybody else Charles and the poor often lump them together. That's simply because bureaucrats act in a certain way because they are ordered to.
In the past Charles has said many positive things about many bureaucrats, and it wasn't until they started giving him trouble that he started giving them trouble.
As for what Charles says, that might be a little drastic, but maybe not, I grew up in Oromocto and I can tell you that thats not the first time such things have been said about Fredericton. That doesn't mean every single person, but there is a far different 'vibe' in Fredericton that isn't in other cities-except maybe Ottawa.
The real issue here is why the guy ran by, and that's because no doubt Charles was taking pictures of everything and everybody, and as has been said before Charles, if you are going to photograph average people walking down the street minding their own business, then ask them first! Public events are one thing, but people should be allowed to walk down the street without worrying their picture will be all over the internet.
Anonymous has no more Idea why the gentleman was running than Charles does. Neither do they have any idea if he was a government worker, a bureaucrat or a salesperson for some downtown clothing store for that matter. Anonymous also knows (that much is obvious by the way he jumps to Charles defence) that indeed Charles was using the term "bureaucrat" as an insult as he often does. Its every bit as offensive as calling someone wearing dirty clothes a bum or a teenager wearing baggy pants a trouble maker. Charles of all people should know that by now.
