God's Minute!

It is written SPEAK TO ONE ANOTHER WITH PSALMS,
HYMNS AND SPIRITUAL SONGS. SING AND MAKE
MUSIC IN YOUR HEART TO THE LORD.
(EPHESIANS 5:19)

Dear Charles,
God's precious word was written to help us, and to be
studied, understood, and applied. As an example, the Book
of Psalms lends itself most directly to helping us deal with
our day to day emotions. For the Psalms put into words
our deepest hurts, longings, thoughts and prayers. They
gently push us toward being what God designed us to be, that
is people loving and living for Him!

So today we will look at some of the reasons to read
The book of PSALMS.....

To know how to come to God each day PSALM 5
To understand yourself more clearly PSALM 8
To please God. PSALM 15
To find comfort PSALM 23
To learn more about God PSALM 24
To be forgiven for your sins PSALM 51
To learn a new song PSALM 92
To meet God intimately PSALM 103
To know why you should worship God PSALM 104
To understand why you should read the Bible PSALM 119
To learn a new prayer PSALM 136
To give thanks to God PSALM 136
To feel worthwhile PSALM 139
To give praise to God PSALM 145
To know that God is in control PSALM 146

So Charles, why not relax and read a good book this
weekend, the Book of Psalms that is! Amen.
