I received this email this morning from an old friend. He's in poor health but he refuses to give in.
All he does is stay at home and listens to his CB radio for news and post it on his web site. He's a former reporter himself.

It's pretty good. Many of the storries will never hit the so call normal news media. Here's his email-
The main purpose of this little online New Rumor web site is to try and give the immediate Saint John NB and surrounding area, an idea as to what possibly may be happening in the form of Breaking New Rumors, that you may not hear or read in any of the commercial mainstream media outlets.
I was stricken with Debilitating Degenerative Osteo Arthritis in 1991, and was deemed Un-employable and Disabled by Medical Professional Specialists, and was forced into early retirement much against my personal will.
I started doing this type of Local News thing back in the early days of the Internet
Thankfully over the years, mainstream media sources IE: Newspapers, Local Radio Stations and Regional Television Outlets have take some of the News Rumors on this site, followed them up and turned them into Mainstream Media News Stories
I can say in all honesty, if I had a Dollar for every News Rumour that was posted on this little site, and the Rumor turned into a Mainstream Media Story, my bank account would be healthier than I am { lol }
A lot of the material posted on this site, are News Rumors that you will never hear or see on Commercial Media outlets. I think it would be a fair statement to Classify this site as more of an online Community Publication.
You don't work in broadcasting from 1969 until 1991 without having made a lot of great Contacts in Various Professional Capacities. This is how I get the News Rumors that you read on the Main Index Page.
During my Past Broadcasting career, I've had the Honor and Privilege to have worked with some of the finest, and Best On-Air Talent there is in Canada. I could, and have been given their permission to Post their names on the site, but in the Long Run what would it prove ?
This site is dedicated solely to the Saint John and surrounding area. From Saint John down to St. Stephen, from St. Stephen up to Fredericton New Brunswick, Gagetown and the Oromocto area. From Oromocto over to the Chipman and Minto area, including the Cambridge Narrows region, and down to the Sussex, Hampton and Rothesay and Quispamsis area.
Hopefully there will be something on the Main Site Index Page you will find informative and useful. Thank you for taking the time to read this section.
There are weather warnings for New Bruswick and Local Weather Links as well. It's non-profit and more of a Hobby than anything else.

Sean O'Shaunnessey's (sp?) site isn't it? He has some good stuff from time to time but just as often his information is incorrect. Watch it with a discerning eye to seperate fact from as he freely admits, rumour.
No explanation needed spinks as this is indeed how blogs work as I am sure you are well aware.
But like this person as well as charlie there is no difference between either of these individualls other than the fact of getting the conversation going among most grassroots folks here in New Brunswick.
Which we all know can be a very effective route to take in this time of change within the main media stream.
((If it doesn't carry a large profit margin with it lets leave it alone and let someone else play with it)).
We all know this statement works well with the Irving Empire as they have said very publicly in the past Advertizing dollars come first story comes second.
I believe blogsites will and indeed are becoming the new information outlets.
They may be at times filled with gaps but that's the beauty of this process.
The people of this province can get directly involved in each story and it either grows in credibility or is moved down the page from that point.
Everybody gets to take a crack at it good or bad.
So this process is definitly gaining ground within each Province and it does seem to be having an effect on the credibility of the main stream media as some will actually revisit a story that is circulating across the blogsites depending on the comments and reactions of such stories and that can't be a bad thing.
To all you bloggers out there,Keep up the great work!Regardless of the personal attacks once in awhile as these are usually just hollow diversions of discontent of which we face everyday in anything we do anyhow.

I was doing a google search last night and came across this site by accident. I live in Toronto. Q-107 is a radio station here in Toronto, yes ?
This radio station plays the { as you say } the rock and roll music }
You would never hear this as you all call it, rock and roll in my homeland country of Pakistan. We do not allow this type of music to be played on the radio back in homeland. I think it is bad.
I think it is only the right thing to take this article or posting down. Back home this type of as you people say, news rumor site would not be allowed.
I sent the person who runs this news site an e-mail last night, telling him what I am now telling all of you.
His reply in my opinion was very rude indeed. HE told me, this is one of the great things about living in a free country like Canada, that we have freedom of speech and He even told me mr taj fajeena an Immigrant to this country, that if I didn't like his site, for me not to read it. This is not right.
I am a legal immigrant to this country, and I was told that this was the land of milk and honey for immigrants for myself and my family members.
I am also { as you say } am very offended by the person in the picture wearing an american flag on his vest. And why is he wearing that white thing on his neck.
It angers me as well, that the person with the thing around his neck is also wearing an american military beret`. I demand that this picture be taken down right away Please.
I am glad to see however on his site, the story about this howard stern not being allowed on the radio here in Canada.
Canadian and american military troops should not be around the middle east area.
The immigrations rules and regulations here are good, as is their financial and job assistance programs for us Immigrants.
The government bought my family and I a house, in addition to a new car so I could try and find a job.
And if I am unable to find a job, they will give me a tax free forgivable loan, for me and my 10 family members to start up a business here.
I think it's only the correct thing to do, to pull this persons new site down.
It serves no purpose, and doesn't post any news about my PAKISTAN homeland.
I expect it to be as you all say here, to be gone by the end of today. It doesn't even seem to be very popular here as well.
