A VERY INTERESTING EMAIL FROM http://www.geocities.com/news_rumours/

It was a private email and the guy gave me the ok to paste it in this blog. Very interesting.

Charles :

Never underestimate the power of your web site blog. The Internet as you know is in the process of defeating Printed Paper Newspapers. Here is one linked story to verify what I say Internet holds only future for newspapers, experts warn... Click here. target="_blank">Charles
Blog

I got this link from a chap's web site called the Drudge Report, here's his web site http://www.drudgereport.com/ In my personal opinion only, I think this chap is the guy who really started the blogging years ago. Not as in blogging as yourself and others do, but he really brought the power of the internet to the forefront of Online news by linking to online published news stories.

He started doing this I believe in 1994 or 1995. In addition to his web site, he has a Sunday Night talk show which is aired around the world both via radio and web casted on the Internet. I believe he is on over 200 radio stations stateside.

There is a chap here in Canada as well, who operates a similar web site. Here's his link http://www.bourque.com/ The Internet is taking over Charles as you know. I dare say it won't be an overnight thing, but the day is coming.

The only reason I send you this information is to prove to your readers, there is so much good and informative information on the Internet available free, that the day is over that New Brunswick Residents have to depend on the local Irving Empire for News or Information fix. And of course we cannot forget about the CBC, here's the New Brunswick CBC Link http://www.cbc.ca/nb/

The internet is also taking over the music world as well, and leaving commercial radio stations as we used to know it All In The Dust. Here's the proof. www.icebergradio.com This site is located out of Toronto. So while people read your Blog Charles they can also listen online to whatever music format they want to. I think they have over 250 various music formats for people to listen to. Classic Rock, Country, you name it' s pretty well all there for the enjoyment.

The reason Charles your Blog Site, and the Blogging sites of others have become so Popular is because of a couple of reasons.

People have the chance to express their viewpoint and opinions, without somebody sitting behind a desk trying to Play Media God's, in deciding what the reader wants to read about. People know what they want to read about and listen to. And they'll go to wherever they can get what their looking for.

The reason your site and other blogging sites have become so popular, is because people want to go there and read it, for Whatever Reason.

One of you readers is indeed true in his statement, some of the Material on my site may not be true ? How can it proven whether it's True or False if the Main stream Media outlets don't pursue the Rumour ? Make no mistake about it, there aren't too many Commercial Media outlets that don't know about my little online news rumour web site. I can no longer follow up on the material I receive, because I no longer have official media reporting status, as an active media member.

Another thing Charles to point out is this, your web site blog and all blogging sites cause Controversy, and Controversy and debating is a great thing. Stop and think about this as well, how many radio stations here in New Brunswick have web sites with News Sites on them. Not very many.

And here's something I know you'll get a big kick out of, this is the result of one of the site hits I got today, it was taken from my statistics counter.

Charles :

I just had a quick glance at this chaps web site, it appears that he has some pretty good information there.

I really enjoy the weather links. Keep up the good job.

The gentleman who operates the above site, was one of the best when he was a member of the main stream media in Saint John. I've never met him personally, but its no surprise to me that he's still got it. Great to see him still around in any capacity. Keep up the great site. :-)
