HEY???? ANDY SCOTT BECOMES A BLOGGER!!!!

andy blog

By the way? I like Andy's Glasses in this picture...lol..< old style >

ok..never mind that....I didn't know about this one until I visited his website last evening at

target="_blank">Charles
Blog

But I do have a point of concern with Andy's new blog?

A blogger will give his views on issues and leave a spot for people to leave a comment. Andy's Blog site does not do this.

Andy writes his views but the public can't reply. This is a big faux pas with we Bloggers!!!

I have to tell his staff the definition od a Blogger. A blogger gives the news to the readers but with an opinion and the people can reply to the blog.

Sounds like everyone wants to be a blogger these days?

This is a good thing for the bloggling world!!

While a blog is defined more by its template than anything else, I do agree that comments are REALLY what makes a blog, otherwise it is just another tool of propaganda or advertising. However, I have noticed that most political blogs DONT allow comments, for the obvious reason that they can be hijacked by opponents and filled with negative comments.

Every party has a blog now, but NONE that I have seen allows comments. The Greens had a spot before but I haven't checked there's lately.

So I wouldn't even give them the satisfaction of calling it a blog, it is just a frequently updated website and "paid political broadcasting"- paid for by us as well.

As head of native affairs he did introduce some legislation, but certainly nothing that no other minister would do. I'm yet to see ANY issue where he has stood up for New Brunswickers or the riding. New Brunswick continues to be lowest in new federal jobs, far far less than Quebec which doesn't even want to BE part of the federal government.

Trust me on this one!!! I will bring my concerns to his office. In my view? A person shouldn't called themself a blogger is they don't leave any comments!!! It would be a great public relation move from Andy's staff if they allowed comments!

I'm not surprised comments aren't allowed. I think from a political point of view, that's smart, because you have no control over what's posted, unless you delete comments and that looks bad. Personally I'd love to have some debate with Scott's handlers on a few issues and I doubt I'm alone so that's enough reason for him not to do it. I don't think the others allow comments either and I don't blame them.

Actually that's not true, it's pretty easy to moderate them. Charles or the administrator could quite easily simply delete any remarks they don't like. I certainly understand why they don't, however, it was real credit to the Green party last election that they had an 'open forum' where plenty of people badmouthed the greens. If you can't take the heat of an election, get out of the kitchen.

I must disagree with Spinks on this one. I believe it would be great public relation to have an open blog. You could have someone from the staff to monitor the site as I do on mibe. All bad or should I say Foul language wil be deleted! Being Charles? I walked into the Liberal Headquarters this morning and huge the staff to add comments. Hey? If you wish to be a blogger??? Be one!!! Let the public have a say. If someone gets out of hand. Trace them on the internet. Once you leave a bad comment? It's like leaving a finger print.

Hey, I'm all for it but forget the bad language issue. That obviously would not be tolerated. I'm talking about stuff that would be critical of the candidate. Who would want that on a site which is supposed to be purely positive for the candidate? But Charles if you can convince him to do it, I think it would be great. I have LOTS of questions for Mr. Scott and it would put pressure on the other candidates to do the same thing. However, I'll be surprised if you're successful. It's too tight a race to leave anything to chance.

I chatted with Andy Scott tonight and I'll write more on this issue this evening. To be fair? Andy told me that he would answer any questions the readers have? You can send an email to Andy Scott at

Somebody should ask him why he voted against bill C-278 which would have given unemployed New Brunswickers a bit more cash. The EI fund sits on billions which is supposed to go to WORKERS, not liberal slush funds. I'd ask him but....

and notice how the top of his head is cut off the picture, cmon man, be proud, bald is beautiful!
