Although government can't do a whole lot, the legislature certainly houses a few respectable characters. There's Abel LeBlanc, the Liberal former longshoreman from blue collar Saint John- Lancaster who stands shoulder to shoulder with anti-poverty activists and defends the crucial right of legislative press access, even for eccentric bloggers.

"eccentric" is a polite word compared to kook. I think latter is more appropriate.

You may have the last laugh on irving "thinkers"?? AGAIN.

Congratulations on the acknowledgement of your superior analysis of community events.

Definition:
Eccentricity is often associated with genius, giftedness, or extreme creativity

Eccentricity is not, as dull people would have us believe, a form of madness. It is often a kind of innocent pride, and the man of genius and the aristocrat are frequently regarded as eccentrics because genius and aristocrat are entirely unafraid of and uninfluenced by the opinions and vagaries of the crowd.

You are eccentric Charles. That can't be denied. Besides there shoudl be a story about blogging in next week's HERE. I suspect you'll be redeemed.

Remember, there's no such thing as bad publicity, just publicity. Remember that CBC!

Medal of honor:

With a vernacular language definitions change, so if people think it means kook, who cares what the dictionary thinks.

Howard Hughes was eccentric. Charles Leblanc is a kook:) That is the difference. Hughes removed himself from the society. Charles Leblanc had to be removed from certain sections of the society namely legislature.

I'll take Leblanc over hughes anyday.Charles never caused anyones death!

You can take him anytime, 11:57 AM. Who is stopping you. However, it is good that you understand the difference.

If somebody meant kook they would have said it,they didn't. They said eccentric, which doesn't have nearly the negative connotations. God bless eccentricity, and if only we had more of it and not so many ballless commentors with nothing better to do than call people kooks.

Just take a look at blogs all across Canada and the world Charles, there is no doubt you are eccentric, and thank heavens. Not to rain on Abel's parade, but if only we had a few more eccentrics in the legislature, instead of having a government that bans them, the province would be a lot better place to live in.
