TOM YOUNG AND THE ISSUE OF TALK OF THE TOWN. ALSO THE IRVING NEWSPAPER!!!

I read with interest and disgust the article Tom Young had in “The City” page of the paper on July l2, 2005. Obviously the Irvings are using Mr. Young to throw their dirt
at the opponents of the LNG tax concession. Being one of those interested in what happens to Saint John I have been involved in fighting not only the tax concession but the LNG project itself. I called Talk of the Town frequently to voice my opinion. I think Mr. Young should be reminded that this show is for that venue, call in and voice your opinion. Obviously Mr. Young, the Mayor and the Irvings all have the same mind set, if you don’t agree with them, you are wrong. I can see why Mr. Young was ousted from his job running the Talk of the Town. He certainly has come down a peg working for this paper!!



To the committee who have worked so hard on behalf of the citizens of Saint John, thank you and really, pay no attention to Mr. Young’s comments. I don’t ever recall him working to help Saint John in any way over the years he had the seat at the Radio Station, no obviously if it doesn’t benefit him, he doesn’t get involved other than, using this rag to knock those who work hard for Saint John and I don’t mean the Mayor, Council or the Irvings, I mean the citizens!! I also found this article interesting in knocking Bruce and Ivan Court, why not just says their names Mr. Young, haven’t you got it in you? Better to beat around the bush!! You couldn’t hold a candle to either of the Court Brothers, you could never walk in their shoes, they are much too big for small minded people like you.



As for your wonderful article on the Grand Bay Westfield liberal nomination….this is the best…..a die hard PC, now running for and endorsing Liberals. I think it’s called Turn Coat!! There are those of us who remember you, Elsie and Brian Mulroney…..you had a chance to help Saint John, what did you do, protect and hide him…..



Shame on you Tom…….shame on you. You must be hard up for work!!

TOM YOUNG REPLIES TO SOME LISTENERS CONCERNS!!!!

Forget it....Tom Young is an irving man. I can't stand him and his voice anymore.
His repeated topics, (bullying, insecticide, dieting (like he's knows lots about that one..and speaks like he does know, which is funny. Sorta reminds me of a big, big, big know it all)...when the city is so dysfunctional, needs help, people loosing homes, sell off of private land, tax cuts going to the already rich, rip off tax deals worth 25 yrs., families falling apart or forced to move away because the place is crawling with irving life style and some just don't want it shoved down their throats. Finally the most harmful of all if you ask me is impending Atlantica. Atlantica has everything to do with ALL the Maritimes that the station reaches, why not talk about it then? NO NO can't go against irving like that. Try that topic on him and see what he say's. Here's the rogers/irving man ready to pounce if you say one thing out of line. In Saint John he has put down citizens in the rag more than once because they are afraid of living on a 36" pipe and then to have to pay dearly for the thing if that's not enough ! He's washed up and put to pasture and rogers/irving gave him this job on the station, a real puppet that's looking to grease his own wallet and could care less about anything to do with the above list. He will fight a bloody verbal battle bully style (his style) to make sure the rich get richer and he's included in that as well like the rest. If big Tommy boy doesn't wanna talk about then he just won't.
Tom Young,,,go back under the rock from which you came from. Read the opinion that came from a caring citizen below and it's just one of the many that exist. He says that TOTT has outlived its usefulness in the letter that he wrote. Says who? Tom Young ? well it must be true then if he says it. A big self important nothing is he.
