What the hell are you talking about Charles? There's no danger zone there. The bus lane is now painted and clearly marked as such.

It's a marked cross walk with lights. it's only dangerous if you don't follow the rules.

Listen guys. This hit a raw nerve here.
This really IS a danger zone here.
I rarely agree with Charles or anything on this site. Charles is spot-on here though.
You guys should just go down there and cross on that crosswalk. Vehicles just keep coming.
The stop lights bu city hall. They are the worst ones.
If you're old and feeble , it dosen't even give you ample time to cross.
You wait forever for the pedestrian light. When it comes on, the cars just keep coming.
Yes,someone is going to succumb to this situation.
I have had numerous close calls myself and I am a reasonable young person and an alert and fit walker.
I have "stared down" drivers on many instances that it was very evident they were not going to stop.
Taking Licence Plate numbers is just a joke.
That is the Daytona Speedway down there, they can't wait to get on Dock Street so they can out-race one another with their souped-up "mechanical rollerskates".
I'm on a mission to do something about these lights.
Years ago there was no right turn on a pedestrian light, now it's a free-for-all.
God help us.

PEOPLE ARE NOT FULL OF CRAP!

I see near misses everyday because I drive through there several times a day delivering and picking up things.

The problem is that everyone has a red light and you can turn right on a red light and as you are going through the red light; the pedestrians light changes to a walk sign and the angle of that change is not visible to the drivers so they need a light over head to let drivers know the light has changed. If you are closest to the right of the pedestrian light you will see it but no one else sees it because of the angle.

I have had to honk my horn to caution the car on the left going through that a person is crossing because they can't see the light or the person crossing. It scared the person crossing but it did stop the driver who almost hit them. This happened twice and after that last one I took the time to go in City Hall and explain it but nothing has been done.

Yes a cross walk with lights that angle for the walkers but the driver does not see the change.

Alot of times people wait and don't turn right on a red light; but you can turn. In the middle of turning the pedestrian light changes but cars on the left can't see.

No one believes it until you witness it. I personally was sick when I saw what took place and it continues to be close calls.

I try to explain to as many people I know; but courier and bus drivers know. People who are not aware may unfortunately hit someone even by driving slow and seemingly following the rules. Blind spot exists. Overhead lights of some kind to protray caution for pedestrian crossing would save a life.

Common sense is not the problem it is the blind spot. The light is short to cross for anyone young or old.

Hey if you don't like it, don't use it.

The next time you are out picking things up, remind yourself to pick up a new Brain.

I bet you don't even live here in the City, that being the case, you have no right to complain.

Stay out in the Sticks where you more than likely live
