ROGERS TELEVISION MUST BE INVESTIGATED BY THE C.R.T.C.!!!

While in Saint John, I was surprise how many people asked me the reason that I was no longer on Voice of the Province?

This is a talk show program on Rogers Television.

They invite politicians on the show and New Brunswickers can asked questions to the elected officials.

Rogers television started a new game and it goes against our democratic system.

They took orders from someone < Could be the Irvings or the Lord Government > that I wasn’t allowed to phone in the talk shows any longer.

I have been phoning these talk shows for years and never once have I cross that line.
While in Saint John, I've been asked the reasons I don't called in these shows any longer by many citizens such as this one?

t2

What really bothers me if they won’t accept phone calls from pay phones.

The poor people in New Brunswick are not allowed to call in.

This is a terrible step backwards in this Province.

Rogers Television tried in vain to help Bernard Lord win the Bi-election in Saint John by screening phone calls.

lordtv

I am told that from now on? Any caller who goes against the politicians of the Lord Government will never be allowed to call again.

Phil Vincent 222x170_3

This is dictatorship at it’s worst. < Beside the Irvings >

I phoned CFBC talk of the town this morning that told the listeners the same story. I always say- THANK GOD FOR TALK SHOWS!!!

cfbc2

But this morning, I made it perfectly clear that I will no longer say that line because of Rogers Television denying the right to New Brunswickers to speak out!

lordtv

I will say- THANK GOD FOR THIS TALK SHOW!!!

bigot10

I strongly believe that if CFBC didn’t have the talk show? Michelle Hooten would have won the election because the Irving media backed her up 100%!!!

Hoot-bodygaurd

Shame on Rogers television joining the Irvings denying New Brunswickers right to speak.

irving1

From what I’m told? This Rich Crosby kid who took the place of Dennis Melanson began to give out his view on different issues. He does this at the beginning of the program.

rich web
Charles 04_07_05 078
CrosbyLIVE_222x170

Someone is backing him up big times.

I got the proof because seconds before I was going on the air, the producer told me that this Crosby kid got orders not to take my calls any longer.

So? Was this Crosby kid paid under the table to deny my right to speak?

rich web

I will sent a letter to the C.R.T.C. but I’m going to zero in on the issue of pay phone. The C.R.T.C. must investigate Rogers Televsion!!!!

To this little dictator kid Crosby?

rich web

If you believe that New Brunswickers are that stupid to believe your views?

You are wrong and don’t expect that this show will make you a celebrity that you can run for political office because I will be right there to tell the public what you really are!

I really don't care if i'm allowed to call but I am a strong believer of freedom of speech especially is a caller don't cross that thin line.

Now? What made me write about this issue anyway?

CharlesPic

Must be the weather outside. Raining hard!!!...lol

SO? IS EVERYONE HAPPY WITH THE NEW SANTA???

I forgot to paste this email. Does anyone has the name and phone number of the old Santa? I could post it here if he's looking for work. Here's a reader view -

This just in...THIS IS THE NEW SANTA!!! DOES ANYONE HAVE A PICTURE OF THE OLD SANTA???? See???? Anyone can become a Blogger Journalist??? Thanks!!!

new santa

I heard that Old Santa is going to be stand to the side at Market Square tonight (of course not dressed as Santa). The news people will be there. Don't post this because he does not want anyone to know; he will be standing there with a friend. The plot thickens in Saint John. What next?

The Mayor ran a compaign that it would an open Council and iclusive of all people and he would be accessible ( must be a different meaning to him); people can't reach him or his expensive assistant who gets paid more $40 thousand with all the deals they make for themselves. Interesting bunch of crap that he and 5 or 6 Councillors ran together on.

I suspect they will pull off some things soon. This is the cheapest Mayor because this parade is a Santa Claus parade and he is Royal but the treated Santa like he is disposable and possibly another part of the City will take over the parade.
In the end I hope they get sued ( by previous Mayor McAlary) for slander they spread, especially since they knew it was not true but they let things take it time; how cruel against a Mayor who cares about the people and was always there if you needed her. The problem was the government they wanted to get rid of her and never gave the city any money. Politics at it 's finest. Hope she gets back in; she's had my vote all along. People wanted change but now they want Norm McFarlane gone and it can't happen fast enough. Hope he gets a chuck of coal, Mr. Scrooge.

Thanks for being patient; so as I know I let you know what is going on.

WELL? THIS IS GOOD NEWS!!

ROCKWOOD

Council rebuffs plan to put pipeline through Rockwood Park

By John Chilibeck
Telegraph-Journal

Saint John common council has sent a strong "no" to the company that wants to build a pipeline across Rockwood Nature Park.

The city council passed a resolution Monday night that asks Maritimes and Northeast Pipelines to prove that putting the natural gas pipeline across the ocean as an alternative could not work. It also states that the council has no interest in the pipeline going through the park.

City councillor Glen Tait explained to the public that officials from the company had met with council a few weeks ago and argued that the pipe could not go across the Bay of Fundy because the tides were too strong.

Mr. Tait said as a lay person, it was hard to understand how the same company could run a gas line for 150 miles across rough seas to Sable Island, off Nova Scotia, and not be able to run a similar line across eight miles of the Bay of Fundy.

The pipeline would run from the proposed liquefied natural gas terminal in Red Head on the city east side to the west side. It would then run all the way down to the United States, feeding American customers' energy demands.

The company prefers to blast through Rockwood Park and bury the line close to the existing hydro right-of-way in the park.

Mr. Tait argued that oil rigs and pipelines are built across oceans all over the world, including the rough north seas.

"How is it that the Bay of Fundy is so different than the North seas?"
Most councillors also said they did not want the pipeline company to tear up city streets to finish complete its project.

"I just say no to Rockwood Park and no to city streets," said Chris Titus.

The resolution calls for the company to conduct a credible scientific and engineering study to prove that the option across the Bay of Fundy is impossible.

The ultimate decision on the pipeline will be made by the National Energy Board in Calgary.

God's minute.

THEN JESUS SAID TO HIS DISCIPLES, "IF ANYONE WOULD
COME AFTER ME, HE MUST DENY HIMSELF AND TAKE
UP HIS CROSS AND FOLLOW ME."
( MATTHEW 16:24 *NIV )

Dear Charles,
We all have crosses to bear in this life. Perhaps your cross
may seen like a heavy one, however if you look around you will
find others with a much bigger one than yourself.

Therefore when your "Cross" seems to heavy remember
that God is there helping you carry it. After all God has said,
"NEVER WILL I LEAVE YOU; NEVER WILL I FORSAKE
YOU." ( HEBREWS 13:5 )

So put your faith in God, and remember that Jesus said,
"DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED. TRUST IN
GOD; TRUST ALSO IN ME. ( JOHN 14:1 ) Then let the
wings of faith uphold you, uphold you indeed!

May the wings of faith uphold you
When your cross is hard to bear,
As temptations surround you,
And no one seems to care.
May the wings of faith surround you
And shield you from the pain
When sorrows overcome you
And teardrops fall like rain.
May you know that God is with you
In times of deep despair.
May the spirit, who's within you,
Confirm that He is there!
May the valley of the shadow
Provide angels unaware...
May the wings of faith uphold you
When your cross is hard to bear.
Poet, Clay Harrison

Have a wonderful Tuesday Charles, and may God's peace be
with you this day and always. Amen.

WHERE THE FINAL REPORT FROM THE SENATE ON THE IRVING MONOPOLY IN NEW BRUNSWICK????

The final report was suppose to come out in October but still nothing.

Why is that now???

Is this former Irving lawyer now Senator lobbying on behalf of the Irvings in the Capital????

JoeDay1

Where's the report???? Does anyone know???? By the way? Here's a transcript of my presentation to the Senate on April 21st of this year. YOU MUST READ THIS WITH A FRENCH ACCENT!!!!...LOL

The Chairman: Good for you. What a lovely closing line. Thank you, Mr. Tobin.
Our next presenter, senators, is Mr. Charles LeBlanc.

Mr. Charles LeBlanc, As an individual: I just want to apologize. I am what you call a blogger, so I was in and out on the computer down there. There are hundred people outside who want to know what is going on.

I have a point of concern before I start.

I made about a month ago, two months ago, I said that I wanted to make a presentation.

In the past, I made a presentations in front of standing committees in New Brunswick. They told me yesterday I only have four minutes.

I was disallowed to make a presentation like everybody else. Could you tell me why?

The Chairman: Essentially, sir, the problem is we only have a little over a day and a half. We would like to have more; we would like to have a week, but we do not.

Mr. LeBlanc: Who chose these people?

The Chairman: The Steering Committee of the Transport and Communications Committee has spent a long time looking at all the long list of witnesses, and I am very sorry if you feel you have not been treated justly, but we are doing the best we can.

Mr. LeBlanc: I just wanted to go on record because I was told this morning that B.C. has four minutes, and also New Brunswick. You cannot compare the population of New Brunswick to B.C. I mean there is more media, there are more newspapers in B.C. than here. Here we have a major problem.

But I have ADHD, attention deficit hyperactive disorder. I like to take my time on issues, but this morning I apologize for the way I am. I hitchhiked a ride from Fredericton.

Sorry, I should take my hat off, but I hitchhiked from Fredericton to be here. So I just want to go on record that I have been, as the Senator from Sackville knows, that I have been very outspoken.

I am the most outspoken citizen in this province for this issue.

So what I will try to do, I would like to relax so I can concentrate on the issue at hand, but I have four minutes.

The Chairman: I will give you five minutes, how is that?

Mr. LeBlanc: Thank you very much.

The Chairman: Because you hitchhiked all the way here.

Mr. LeBlanc: I hitchhiked, yes, and believe me, I had to listen to two drivers who were complaining about what I am talking about.

They agree with me 100 per cent.

Okay, here we go and I will try to put everything that I can. I hate to rush, but when I was told yesterday four minutes, I said, “Oh my God, that is almost impossible.”

I was born in Memramcook. I lived in Saint John for 18 years. I have worked at the Irving Shipyard, and I am now living in Fredericton.

I started to write letters to the editor l’Évangéline, that is a French paper, and I enjoy writing.

I enjoy spreading my views with other people.

I have a column in the River Valley News.

Charles 04_07_05 027
Charles 04_07_05 026

It has not been Irving bought yet, maybe, I do not know why. Maybe the Irvings know what is going on through this paper. That is why they are not buying it.

I am allowed to write anything I want. I will leave you a copy. It is a bi-weekly paper that is now owned by Irving.

During the frigate program, I was very well-known in Saint John to write my letters to the editor.

I wrote and got printed 500 letters to the editor. Not too many people in this province can say that.

If I wrote letters supporting the Irvings, they would turn around and say, “Oh, what a suck-up.”

If I wrote against them, they would say, “Hey, don’t you know who your boss is?”

Well, on both sides, I could have went, but I had the right to condemn the Irvings, had the right to praise the Irvings.

Then the Telegraph Journal, then something happened?

Charles 04_07_05 020

I was working for a company, then I had a protest going on in front of the Golden Ball and the next thing you know there was a story in the Evening Times Globe stating that Charles LeBlanc was fired three times.

IRVING200

That was not true, and they allowed me to write a little letter to the editor, but the damage had already been done by Saint Johners to know the truth. That is how the Irvings run it.

We heard a lot about Jamie Irving. Jamie Irving is a nice kid.

jamie

I met Jamie, a very nice guy. When I found out he was the editor, the publisher of the King’s County Record -- I am talking fast because I only have four minutes, I am trying, there are some many issues -- when I found out that Jamie was the publisher of the King’s County Record, I said “Okay, he is a good kid.”

Charles 04_07_05 034
jamie

Then I walked by through McAllister Place and then I saw a used picture on the King’s County Record, “J.D. Irving Sawmill record production.” On the front page of the King’s County Record, that should have been in the workplace.

What was it doing on the front page of the King’s County Record that J.D. Irving Sawmill produced record products?

Then there was a big pollution spill in West Saint John on Christmas day. I wrote a letter to the editor about it. It was denied. So I do not know what was going on.

Hoot-sme

There were changes made.

I made a complaint to the Atlantic Press Council and what happened, Ken Simms from Halifax was surprised once I told him I wrote 500 letters to the editor. He said “500?” “My God,” he said “there is a procedure here.

Then suddenly they stop.

We will investigate this.” So Peter Haggard, he is from Ontario, he is the publisher of the Telegraph Journal.

He called me and he told me, “We will not print critical letters of the Irvings by former employees.”

So I turned around and I said, “Okay, so that means if there are 6,000 people in the shipyard that are former employees, they cannot write letters in the paper.”

Then, Rob Linke from the Evening Times Globe, I wrote a letter, he told me, “We have to investigate what you wrote.”

linke

I said, “Investigate? I wrote 500 letters to the editor. Why do you suddenly have to investigate?”

In the summer of year 2003, Peter Haggard from the Telegraph Journal, wrote a column and told the readers, “We will only print one letter by one writer on any issues once a month.”

IRVING1

So I was shocked. Now, they are stopping people from writing letters to the paper.

Three weeks later they announced that Saint John ShipBuilding was closed.

dock4

So, those three regular writers that wrote about the shipyard, they had their say, then they had to wait a whole month.

I mean, that is not right. New Brunswickers’ rights are being denied, and that is what I am very concerned about.

In the summer of 2003, I decided to set up a tent in front of the legislature and I was protesting against the use of Ritalin for ADHD, stopping young kids, five years old, from being forced on these drugs, and next thing you know, it took 50 days for the press, the Daily Gleaner, to cover this story.

pic3

The Irving press never covered this story.

Charles 04_07_05 018

We are not talking about a tent that was in a cow field.

It was in front of the legislature.

The citizens of Fredericton -- I am sorry I am talking so fast, I am just going fast -- the citizens of Fredericton were wondering, “How come we have never seen this in the Gleaner?”

It took 50 days.

So what happened, suddenly, they stole my tent. To make a long story short, I got good coverage at the end, but it took 50 days.

protest

I turned around and came here to Champlain Place to collect names for my petition.

I collected 10,000 signatures and the Acadians, les Acadiens, they knew who I was because l’Acadie Nouvelle covered this story totally.

RITALIN
acadie

The Moncton Transcript, they never did. The English side. See, this is what I am talking about.

Charles 04_07_05 021

The Chairman: I do not like having to cut anybody off.

Mr. LeBlanc: It is a damn shame.

The Chairman: I do not like it; we do not like it. But you are not the only one that we need to hear from.

Mr. LeBlanc: No, I made a presentation.

threnholl

Senator Trenholme Counsell: Mr. LeBlanc, I think there is no doubt that in the end you have made a very important point about Ritalin and ADHD, but your main frustration in this case, and I do not want to go back regarding your employment with the Irvings and all those other things.

I know you as a person who has taken a very strong and valid and important position on ADHD.

Ritalin

Do you feel satisfied in the end? It is like Terry Fox, you do not get recognition right away.

fox

Do you feel now that you have achieved your goal?

charles1

Mr. LeBlanc: No, I understand your question, but like I said, I had to speak so fast.

It had nothing to do if I reached my goal on Ritalin.

My goal for freedom of speech, that is the problem. When you have Frank McKenna come to me when I was protesting, I met him in Fredericton, I have known him for a long time, he came to me and he said, “Charles, how come we have not seen any letters from you lately?”

McKennaBushWH050308-m

It is the freedom of speech.

I do not want to compare the Irvings to this province to Germany. We do not go around and execute people.

But do not forget, when Hitler took power, he took power of the media.

irvings

The media here, they call it Brunswick News, is Irving News. I mean, my issue of Ritalin, okay, did I succeed?

irving3

I do not know, but this is not the point. The point is to have people, New Brunswickers, be allowed the freedom of speech and they are denied big time.

Like I said, I wish I could have made my presentation in whole.

We were talking about advertising. I heard one person from the Telegraph Journal say, “If you do not pay your bills, we own all the newspapers.” The Senate, this committee must - see, I am just trying to answer a question and trying to get some more here.

Quickly, the Irvings gave St. Thomas University $1 million to study journalism, to train journalists. Why did the Irvings give $1 million to St. Thomas and l’Université de Moncton?

These people, when they go out, they are not going to write critical stories of the Irvings. Look, it is freedom of speech.

munson

The Chairman: Mr. LeBlanc, I am going to give Senator Munson a chance to ask a question if he wants, but I am also going to ask you please, because we are running out of time, but you do a blog so, you know how to do email. Could you send us a letter outlining your difficulties?

In the meantime, I will undertake tomorrow, when we have representatives of Brunswick News here, to ask if they have a written policy on letters to the editor.

Senator Munson: If there is another message you want to give us, I would certainly accept that. I would throw out the easy question for you if you missed one or two things in a minute or so.

Mr. LeBlanc: I really appreciate that. One thing that I was concerned of is that during the 1997 federal election, J.K. Irving wrote a letter to the editor and it was printed on the front page. I did not know what was going on, but maybe it was good because Paul Zed lost.

J.K

Maybe that is why he lost because J.K. Irving told the public to vote for his son-in-law, but we will never know.

26

The question is still there?

I was allowed a week later to condemn J.K. in his letters to the editor, and I have seen him face to face and trust me, he just looked at me and said, “I own the paper and I will put the damn letter anywhere I want to.”

But anyhow, that is his point. But the bottom line is, personally I respect the Irvings. J.D. Irving, J.K. Irving’s son, is totally out of control.

It is like Mr. Burns on the Simpsons. “I will crush you with my bare hands.”

Minister_Irving
bios_townspeople_burns

The Chairman: Thank you, Mr. LeBlanc. You made your point for us here.

Mr. LeBlanc: My blog is Charles LeBlanc, ADHD.

The Chairman: Thanks very much.

DON'T MESS WITH MOM

My son came home from school one day

with a smirk upon his face.

He decided he was smart enough,

to put me in my place.

"Guess what I learned in Civics Two,

that's taught by Mr. Wright?

It's all about the laws today,

the 'Children's Bill of Rights.'

It says I need not clean my room,

don't have to cut my hair

No one can tell me what to think,

or speak, or what to wear.

I have freedom from religion,

and regardless what you say,

I don't have to bow my head,

and I sure don't have to pray.

I can wear earrings if I want,

and pierce my tongue & nose.

I can read & watch just what I like,

get tattoos from head to toe.

And if you ever spank me,

I'll charge you with a crime.

I'll back up all my charges,

with the marks on my behind.

Don't you ever touch me,

my body's only for my use,

not for your hugs and kisses,

that's just more child abuse.

Don't preach about your morals,

like your Mama did to you.

That's nothing more than mind control,

And it's illegal too!

Mom, I have these children's rights,

so you can't influence me,

or I'll call Children's Services Division,

better known as C.S.D."

Of course my first instinct was

to toss him out the door.

But the chance to teach him a lesson

made me think a little more.

I mulled it over carefully,

I couldn't let this go.

A smile crept upon my face,

he's messing with a pro.

Next day I took him shopping

at the local Goodwill Store.

I told him, "Pick out all you want,

there's shirts & pants galore.

I've called and checked with C.S.D.,

who said they didn't care

if I bought you K-Mart shoes

instead of those Nike Airs.

I've canceled that appointment

to take your driver's test.

&n! bsp; The C.S.D. is unconcerned,

so I'll decide what's best."

I said, "No time to stop and eat,

or pick up stuff to munch.

And tomorrow you can start to learn

to make your own sack lunch.

Just save the raging appetite,

and wait till dinner time.

We're having liver and onions,

a favorite dish of mine."

He asked "Can I please rent a movie,

to watch on my VCR?"

"Sorry, but I sold your TV,

for new tires on my car.

I also rented out your room,

you'll take the couch instead.

The C.S.D. requires

just a roof over your head.

Your clothing won't be trendy now,

I'll choose what we eat.

That allowance that you used to get

will buy me something neat.

I'm selling off your jet ski,

dirt-bike & roller blades.

Check out the 'Parents Bill of Rights',

It's in effect today!

Hey hot shot, are you crying,

Why are you on your knees?

Are you asking God to help you out,

instead of C.S.D..?"

ANOTHER DEATH FROM DILAUDID IN SAINT JOHN!!!

I just received this email from Saint John. I do have a question? Why are deaths from Diaudid are public knowledge in Nova Scotia but not here in New Brunswick???? Here's the story-

Another victim to Dilaudid has died this past weekend. This young 26 year
old had a wife, a good job and now is dead and never coming back.

thunbs
drug-addict

Was he on that never ending waiting list or did he have too much shame to ask
for help?

He had alot of friends and some work with me and they are devastated.

This is another victim which in turn is a reflection of what this Conservative Government is all about.

They allowed the legal heroin pills to be prescribed with little or no help for those that it consumes.

The Doctor prescribed them with no education on narcodics.

I know at least 12 people that have died because of these pills so can you imagine just how many there is out there.

You should try to locate the figures of Dilaudid's and Oxy-Contin that have been prescribed since 1995 and this would give your readers the reality of how severe the problem is out there.

I bet that Bernard Lord's eyes would fall out if he took interest and seen the shape of the Province!

Irving quarry causing homeowner havoc
Last updated Nov 21 2005 11:27 AM AST
CBC News

Residents of a west Saint John neighborhood want a local quarry shut down, saying it's damaging their homes and ruining their quality of life.

Several dozen angry people met with the mayor of Saint John and several councillors over the weekend to discuss the Bald Hill quarry, owned by corporate giant J.D. Irving.

At least one resident said his home's foundation was damaged by blasting.

"I spent $3,500 to fix my foundation and fix my drain, and I got a big crack," said Leo Richard.

"I call them and they come back with a letter saying they are not guilty. And now, from the two last blasts, my basement is leaking again. Who will fix that?" he asked.

* FROM AUG. 1, 2001: Residents criticize Irving quarry work

Saint John city councillor Ivan Court said more city building inspectors have to be hired to work with the provincial environment department, which hands out the blast permits.

Court advised resident to get copies of pre-blast surveys done by the company and suggested residents videotape their property when they know blasting is going to take place.

But resident Carolyn Messer said people are tired of having to be the ones to prove that damage to their homes was done at a certain time by a certain blast.

"Somebody - city hall or the province - someone's got to take responsibility for handing out permits without realizing what the repercussions are going to be for hundreds and hundreds of citizens," said Messer.

J.D. Irving countered the criticism, saying it was a responsible neighbor and was operating well within its permits.

When it opened in 2001, it placed nine seismographs around the site to keep tabs on vibrations from the blasting. It also offered to put a seismograph on individual properties. At least four homeowners took up the offer.

MAYOR BRAD WOODSIDE SPOKE LOUD AND CLEAR THIS MORNING!!!!

Once again, the Mayor is urging the Province to invest in Methadone Clinics around the Province.

P1010010

He's the only Mayor that I know who has been very outspoken on this issue. As I told all MLA'S from both parties during the by-election in Saint John - If you believe the smell of marrijuana is bad in the buildings you enter?

drug-addict

Just think of the use of Dilaudid going on that you cannot smell??? Think about it!!!

Thumbs up for the Mayor of Fredericton!

God's minute!

Now Today's Message:
PRIDE GOES BEFORE DESTRUCTION, AND A HAUGHTY
SPIRIT BEFORE A FALL.
( PROVERBS 16:22 *NIV )

Dear Charles,
Now we are to humble ourselves, and not let our
pride or ego get in the way when dealing with others. For
it is written; WHOEVER EXALTS HIMSELF WILL BE
HUMBLED, AND WHOEVER HUMBLES HIMSELF WILL
BE EXALTED. ( MATTHEW 23:12 ) For; GOD
OPPOSES THE PROUD BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE
HUMBLE. ( JAMES 4:6 )

So never let your pride or ego convince you that you
are more righteous than another. Alter all, we are all God's
Children and He loves each of us equally! THEREFORE
LET US STOP PASSING JUDGMENT ON ONE
ANOTHER. INSTEAD, MAKE UP YOUR MIND NOT TO
PUT ANY STUMBLING BLOCK OR OBSTACLE IN YOUR
BROTHER'S WAY. ( ROMANS 14:13 )

Also remember the words of our Savior Jesus Christ,
for He said of the end time; MANY WHO ARE FIRST
WILL BE LAST, AND MANY WHO ARE LAST WILL BE
FIRST. ( MATTHEW 19:30 )

Therefore Charles, HUMBLE YOURSELVES BEFORE THE
LORD AND HE WILL LIFT YOU UP. ( JAMES 4:10 ) FOR
THE LORD TAKES DELIGHT IN HIS PEOPLE; HE CROWNS
THE HUMBLE WITH SALVATION. Amen.
( PSALM 149:4 )

Have a wonderful Monday, and may it be filled with peace
and love.
