CITIZEN OF THE WEEK!! < FROM LAST WEEK >

Many of you asked me to have a citizen of the week in this blog! Well? That's what I'm going to do. Here's your citizen of the week from last week! He's Jody Carr because he had the courage to confront a few readers views in this blog!!! What's your view? < I'm afraid to ask that question? >...lol

I believe he is a fine choice, good job chuck, The nay Sayers will just have to let him settle in to his career and he'll do fine.
Good job Jody but you should talk a little Louder and Prouder, maybe varietize your conversations and issues so people can understand the depth of your knowledge on more than one or two issues in this cesspool of injustices we seem to be drowning in these days. (Compliments of Mr. Lord)
Also I think you should shake the hand of your party spokesman that pointed out what your boss has been doing to the voters of this Province since the first day of his second term.
I'm referring to the comment he made when Ottawa decided not to do the refurbishment of Point Lepreau Nuclear Plant.
He said "Quote (We feel we have been mislead or we were lead to believe....) this phrase has been used to no end when it comes to Mr. Lord and the many misgivings he has presented to this Province in his time of "Need For Greed Programs"
There is no way of fixing his many mistakes to save himself from a certain drowning at the polls come the next election but at the very least he can always remind himself of that very phrase that took it all away from him.
It has been said many times we the people of this province can only be dooped so long and the awakening begins the recovery.

Agree with you about the evaluation of Bernard Lord. But do not forget that Carr is a part and parcel of that government. He defends it. What happened to his priniciples? He is compromising his principles when he supports Lord government and hence he is a hypocrit who is seeking media attention through Agent Orange tragedy.

If he cares then he must speak up about the ongoing tragedies of misuse of prescription drugs and tragedies associated with VLTs. Those tragedies are resulting in suicides and deaths and hence murder of a sort which Lord govt refuses to do anything about. Has Carr spoken up yet on those issues. Not to my knowledge.

I"m usually right behind you Charles, but this just baffles me. Not only is a citizen of the week a politician, but he's a conservative! I think you need an advisory board to help you out with these.
If your ever at a loss, there are tons of people who contribute more just by staying alive, hell, give it to yourself!
THere's an old saying 'talk is cheap which is why so many politician's are'. What else would you expect a provincial politician to say in such circumstances? You'll notice in government that's how it works, if its a federal mess up, the provincial and local reps are up in arms 'defending the people', if its a provincial mess up the locals are up in arms and the feds say 'it's not our problem', and if its local the other two claim 'it's not our problem'. Even though it usually is at some level.

How many times have we heard Jody shooting off his mouth for Oromoctonians who are addicted to VLT's or Ritalin (as another commentor pointed out)? Here it makes him 'look good' because he knows damn well that he has no more power in the issue than you or I. I know a lot of people want to give him credit because he's young, but come on.

If you're ever at a loss again get the names of any people who have been protestors and give it to them, like the girls from the Miramichi.
It's too bad, because apart from this oddity you've had really great stuff at your website.

I knew once I voted for Jody Carr for citizen of the week that it would be debated! This only true reason that I choose Jody was that he debated the agent orange issue with other readers in this blog!!!!

Good choice Charles, and a good reason for choosing him!

Charles sense most of the negativity seems to be based on two issues he hasn't mentioned why don't you invite him to make a statement on these two issues on this blog or get him to give you his stand on them and post it in his words ie:Ritalin & vlt's????
