A MEMORY TO JOE CORMIER!!!!

Joseph "Joe" Melvin Cormier died suddenly at his home Wednesday, July
6,
2005 at the age of 55.

Born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Joe was the son of Ronald MacLellan
and
Denise Cormier. Joe is survived by his former wife, Shirley Russel,
daughter
Denise, grandson Brandon and his foster mother, Beatrice Smith of
Dartmouth.

Joe worked in Antigonish, Dartmouth and Fredericton as a counselor and
caregiver in several group homes, eventually making his way to
Fredericton
in the early 1980s. Joe was a long time volunteer with the Fredericton
Anti-Poverty Organization (FAPO), where he served as a member of the
Board
of Directors in 2000-2001. A consummate diplomat, Joe was well
respected and
liked by all who knew him and he leaves behind many relatives and
friends
who mourn his passing, including Tom House, Dan Weston and others too
numerous to mention.

There will be a memorial to celebrate Joe's life on Wednesday, July 13,
2005
at 7 pm at the Monsignor Boyd Family Center at 120 Regent Street. All
who
knew Joe are invited to attend in honour of his memory.
